Genealogy: Introduction to INS Immigration and Naturalization Records

Tuesday, March 21, 2017. 1-3 p.m. "Introduction to INS Immigration and Naturalization Records." Presentation by historian Zack Wilske who will use case studies to introduce researchers to historical INS immigration and naturalization records available through the US Citizenship and Immigration Services and from the National Archives. Topics will include naturalization files, alien registration records, visa files, and other records documenting 20th century immigrants. Researchers will see sample files, hear tips on connecting the records to each other, and learn how to advance their research. The talk takes place at the Mount Vernon Genealogical Society meeting in Room 112 of the Hollin Hall Senior Center, 1500 Shenandoah Road, Alexandria, Virginia.
