This program of masterworks by J.S. Bach features Gonzalo X. Ruiz, one of the world’s most critically acclaimed baroque oboists. He will be joined by Cynthia Roberts, violin; Adrienne Hyde, viola da gamba; and Adam Pearl, harpsichord. The program includes oboe and violin sonatas by J.S. Bach and additional works by August Kühnel and Carl Friedrich Abel. Pro Musica Rara, Baltimore's “premier early music ensemble,” is a period instrument chamber music ensemble performing baroque, classical, and early romantic repertoire.
