Yoga for Survivors – Virtual Sessions!

HopeWorks is partnering with Three and a Half Acres Yoga (THAY) to bring free yoga sessions to survivors of intimate partner and sexual violence. This will be an on-going program offered every Tuesday at 4 pm via Zoom! THAY partners with community organizations within Harlem, Upper Manhattan, and virtually. They focus on serving folks facing emotional, physical, or social trauma. THAY provides yoga, breathing, and mindfulness programs to nonprofits to support their existing missions and build bridges of understanding among neighbors. Howard County General Hospital’s Race Across Howard County

Runs Dec. 1 to 15. Howard Hospital Foundation, which provides philanthropic support to Howard County General Hospital, will hold Race Across Howard County, a virtual race where participants run or walk on their own, submit race times and collect donations supporting Howard County General Hospital’s new Nursing Excellence Fund. Race options include a 26.2-mile marathon, 13.1-mile half-marathon, 3.1-mile 5K or 1-mile fun run or walk, which participants can complete at their own pace anywhere indoors or outdoors. Race registration costs $25, except for the fun run which costs $10, and includes virtual yoga, a chance to win a ticket to Merriweather Symphony of Lights for the top 100 finishers, a virtual bib and optional shirts. HCC in the Know: Winter and Spring Enrollment with Admissions and Advising
